Hong Kong | Asian Charity Night Successfully Held at Hong Kong City Hall

On May 16, 2024, the Asian Charity Night was grandly held at Hong Kong City Hall, bringing together leaders in art, culture, design, and philanthropy. The event was jointly hosted by the Asian Academy of Arts, Asian United Center for Cultural and Artistic Development, Hainan Asia Cultural and Arts Foundation, the Organizing Committee of the Art Hong Kong Expo, Hainan International Cultural Exchange Center, and the Chang’an International Club, with support from over twenty cultural institutions and business alliances across China and Asia.

This evening, guided by the vision of “Compassionate Culture, Benevolent Economy,” called for greater synergy between the creative class and social good. The initiative encourages influential voices in art, design, and business to launch and participate in themed philanthropic programs, both recurring and ad hoc. Its core mission is to foster a cross-disciplinary platform combining Art + Design + Philanthropy, while promoting international cultural exchange and supporting the next generation of artists. The event also introduced two annual honors:

Toward a New Culture of Giving

With the final gavel, the Asian Charity Night came to a powerful close. Yet this marks only the beginning. In the years to come, the platform will continue to expand—welcoming artists, collectors, and visionaries to join hands in shaping a more humane and creative world. Together, we advocate for Compassionate Culture, ignite Benevolent Economy, and build lasting networks of generosity across Asia and the globe.
